BlueVerve Studio was known in the Geneva Lake area and beyond as a portrait and wedding photography studio.
However, before BlueVerve Studio became a photography studio, it began as a small atelier of sorts.
More of an energetic state than a singular physical space, it moved with me from kitchen tables, to desks in corners, basement nooks, attic cubbies, and garages…
BlueVerve Studio has always been a space where dresses were designed; where colored pencil and oil pastels mingled against wood grain and watercolor soaked thick black pages; where stories came to life, whispering between key, string, and pen; and where code and text tucked behind images – sent out into the aether to meet the yet to be known. Eventually, it shifted to make room for lights and cameras, screens and backdrops. And while it still encompasses those trusty tools of the photo and video trades, I’ve made more room for its atelier roots: A little more cozy, personal, and true.
